That´s all
Nasty Little Fly
Text und Musik - Andy und Wolfgang Klemm
I lived my life in Pick-Up Trucks on dusty roads `n roads of mud.
I crossed the land from here to Tennesse.
I´ve seen the prairie I saw towns, but I could never stick around.
`Cause driving was the only life for me.
My daddy´s been a trucker, too. So I did what I had to do.
And we changed places as he was gettin´ old.
An` I hit the road and I was gone.
There never was another one, beyond my truck, beyond the winding roads.
All I ever need are wheels on the street.
My truck, the roads the whole wide world.
That´s all I ever need.
I must admit I missed some love. But the girls that I was dreaming of,
were always married or they hated trucks.
So I was damned to stay alone. Some dirty pages, sticks ´n stones.
My buddy´s said that I was gettin´ nuts.
But I just said that I won´t mind as long as there were roads to ride
and nothing else could give me so much joy.
And then they laughed, looked at my Truck.
Said : That ain´t nothing you can fuck !
I broke their noses as a small goodbye.
All I ever need are wheels on the street.
My truck, the roads the whole wide world.
That´s all I ever need.
So one day at my favorite pub. A damn good meal, a bottle of bud.
I met this girl that they called Dirty Sue.
She came up to my room that night. I bless the lord for that delight.
But then what happened I can´t tell to you.
We woke up in the morning sun. Exhausted from a night of fun.
she said: hey Trucker, will you marry me ?
And I replyed : No way, my dear ´n found me runnin´ like a deer.
A 6-Shot in her hand pointing at me.
All I ever need are wheels on the street.
My truck, the roads the whole wide world.
That´s all I ever need.
